The Ministry of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton sent an invitation to businesses to participate in the preparation of the Program for the Small Business Development Program this year.
According to the cantonal Ministry of Economy, this is a program that includes 11 individual programs related to the development of small, micro and medium-sized enterprises.
“We are determined to work on improving the business environment in the Sarajevo Canton and use every opportunity to see the needs of the economy from the perspective of businesses and for that purpose, now for the second time, we organize meetings with businesses to do a research and to get closer to the real needs of our market”, pointed out the line minister Adnan Delic.
He noted that the Small Business Development Program refers to small business entities defined in accordance with Article 3 of the Law on Stimulating the Development of Small Business and that this is the target group that should take an active part in the preparation of this year’s Program.
“Last month we had meetings with businesses with the aim of researching the needs of incentives in strategic sectors of the economy. On that occasion we have already started this topic, we have already discussed the need to add education and employment programs in the metal and wood industry similar to programs that we already have in certain crafts – trades, as well as IT and BPO industries”, said Delic, emphasizing that these programs generated great interest last year, especially in the field of IT industry.
In order to come up with concrete proposals, which can be useful when creating this program, the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton has created a Google questionnaire for small businesses based on which it will establish further steps towards the preparation of individual programs.

The meeting with businesses is planned for Friday, April 22, 2022, at 2 pm in the Assembly Hall (Centar Municipality), the Ministry of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton announced.
