The Development Agency of Republika Srpska, in accordance with the Work program and financial plan for 2021, announced a Public call for participation in the Accelerator program that will be implemented in the area of the City of East Sarajevo.
The Accelerator program will be implemented in cooperation with the University of East Sarajevo – Faculty of Economics Pale, the Employment Bureau of Republika Srpska, the City Development Agency East Sarajevo, the City of East Sarajevo, and municipalities within the city of East Sarajevo.
The Accelerator program is intended for beginners in business based on innovation, knowledge and new technologies with growth potential who want to find a market for their products/services as soon as possible.
Business ideas related to trade, catering, lottery/gambling, financial intermediation, will not be considered.
What does the Program cover?
- Free training during which participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed for business success;
- Free advisory support of mentors with entrepreneurial experience and knowledge in certain areas;
- Cash and non-cash prizes for the most successful business ideas;
- Use of free work space within the business incubator;
- Support in finding additional sources of funding;
- Connecting with potential partners (domestic and international).
Who can apply?
The Call is open to all creative people who plan to start their own business in the city of East Sarajevo, who are citizens of Republika Srpska/Bosnia and Herzegovina or have permanent residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The following are eligible to apply:
- Citizens of Republika Srpska/Bosnia and Herzegovina or persons with permanent residence in Bosnia and Herzegovina who have an innovative business idea;
- Individuals or teams who do not have a registered business entity and want to start their own business;
- Registered business entities that have been operating for less than 18 months.
Candidates can apply as independent applicant or as a team. The same person cannot be a member of two teams, nor simultaneously submit an idea as an independent applicant and be a member of a team.
What does the selection process look like?
The selection of participants consists of two phases:
- Administrative verification of applications;
- Presentation of selected business ideas that are part of the acceleration program.
After the deadline, an administrative verification of applications will be performed. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
All eligible applicants will be invited to present their business ideas to the business idea evaluation committee, when program activities will be presented to the applicants.
The criteria that will be used by the commission for the evaluation of business ideas are: evaluation of the business idea (feasibility and innovation), evaluation of the market, competition and social benefits (employment of young people and women, etc.)

All interested individuals/teams can apply via the application form that can be found on the website of the Development Agency of Republika Srpska and the Entrepreneurial Portal of Republika Srpska.
The completed application form must be submitted via e-mail: info@rars-msp.org no later than April 19, 2021, with subject “Prijava za učešće u akcelerator programu”.
