Actions to clean up city districts in Mostar, communal services and citizens participate

The City of Mostar, Department for Communal and Inspection Affairs, in cooperation with the public utility company and the fire department, organized on Tuesday the cleaning of the area around the “small stairs” that lead past the stadium towards the Bijeli brijeg settlement.

Karlo Kačić said in front of the Citizens’ Association of Bijeli Brijeg, which took the initiative to clean and beautify the settlement, that every day they try to help the whole settlement with various actions and activities to put the green areas and other things that are necessary for the normal functioning of the settlement in order. .

According to him, the action of cleaning the settlement is continuing, and the goal is to remove waste, beautify green areas, as well as to develop awareness among citizens about the proper disposal of waste.

“We are always looking for ways to beautify and clean the settlement and point out the importance of preserving nature and proper disposal of waste ,” Kačić pointed out and announced the cleaning of other parts of the settlement, such as the ‘big stairs’ and the area around the stadium.  

In addition to the workers of the municipal utility company, tenants, citizens and associations also took part in the action.

The organizers provided tools, protective equipment, as well as refreshing drinks and meals for everyone who participated in the mentioned action.
