A state of natural disaster has been declared in Posavina Canton due to drought

At its session yesterday, the Government of the Posavina Canton passed the Decision on the declaration of a state of natural disaster due to drought in the area of ​​the Canton.

As a result of a long period without sufficient amounts of rainfall for normal growth, development and maturation of agricultural crops, there was a decrease in the yield and quality of arable, fruit and vegetable crops and beekeeping products, it was announced.

At the session, a decision was also adopted on the use of funds from the Budget of the Posavina Canton for 2024 from the position of Grant for co-financing the purchase of textbooks for students.

The funds will be used to co-finance the purchase of textbooks for primary school students from 1st to 6th grade in the amount of 100 KM per student, and for 7th, 8th and 9th grade students in the amount of 250 KM per student, and for students 1 of high school in the amount of 150 KM per student according to lists provided by primary and secondary schools in the Canton area.

The Decision on approving the allocation of funds from the Budget for 2024 from the position Grant for co-financing the purchase of textbooks for students in the amount of 250,000 was also adopted.

The Government considered and adopted the Report on the execution of the Budget for the period 1.1. – 30 June 2024.

In the mentioned period, revenues, receipts and financing were realized in the amount of 29,450,845 KM or 43.72 percent of the total plan for 2024, while expenditures and expenditures were made in the amount of 27,337,851 KM or 40.58 percent of the total plan for 2024. the year 2024.

The difference between realized income, receipts and financing and incurred expenditures and expenditures in the reporting period amounts to 2,112,994 KM.

Compared to the plan for the reporting period, the execution of income, receipts and financing is less by 4,231,902 KM or less by 12.56 percent, while the execution of expenditures is less by 6,344,896 KM or less by 18.84 percent.

In relation to execution in the same period of the previous year, there was an increase in income, receipts and financing by 3,280,884 KM or by 12.54 percent, while executed expenses and expenditures were higher by 3,460,657 KM, i.e. higher by 14.49 percent, according to the press release.
