The director of the Development Agency of the city of Bijeljina, Marko Vlacic, stated that the Agency has set aside 350,000 BAM for this year to support business entities, which will be distributed in four public calls.
Vlacic stated that they organized an info-day with entrepreneurs where they will be presented with the work plan and program for this year.
The first public call for entrepreneurs registered in the Bijeljina area will be opened on April 21, for which 100,000 BAM is planned. The purpose of the funds is to hire new staff, innovate and buy fixed assets.
– Companies that are registered as LLC can apply, and the individual amount depends on the number of entrepreneurs which fulfill the conditions of the public call – said Vlacic.
He says that this year, in addition to financial resources, training on writing projects and work organization in business is planned.
Vlacic said that entrepreneurs are not sufficiently informed and do not have capacities in writing projects and it has had a lot of influence on not fulfilling the basic conditions in public calls, because they did not write the project in the right way.
The President of the Assembly of the City of Bijeljina, Aleksandar Djurdjevic, said that this year and the previous year, significant funds were allocated for incentives for businesses, employment of new people, as well as young people.
– 350,000 BAM will contribute to a significant number of people finding employment. I expect that there will be self-employment projects, where all those who have an entrepreneurial spirit will be supported – stated Djurdjevic.
He said that he is proud of the Assembly, which is the founder of the Agency, that it has meaning, a sufficient budget and that it can fulfill what is its main activity.
Entrepreneur Cvija Krajisnik, who works with old crafts, production of home-made and healthy food, said that the previous period was very difficult for small entrepreneurs, which is why she had to close her shop.
She stated that she visited the info-day in order to get more information, to see how she can help her business in the realization of her plans, and added that writing projects is not difficult to master, that the most important thing is to explain what the idea is and be realistic about project’s success.
Sladjana Ilic, who has a company for the production and installation of PVC windows and doors, stated that she visited the info-day because she wants to buy equipment her company needs in order to improve the company’s work and the possibility of employing additional staff.
