18 startups in BiH, only one of them attracted 15.3 million KM

Bosnia and Herzegovina is becoming more and more recognized as a fertile ground for the development of the startup scene, where young and ambitious entrepreneurs create innovative products and services, thus bringing positive changes in the business environment and attracting investors from all over the world.

Rolla is a startup developing the future of fitness with a mission to improve every user’s life through a comprehensive health, nutrition and fitness platform dedicated to indoor, outdoor and virtual world exercise, visual (AI) logging of user nutrition and tracking of their health metrics.

The platform consists of two applications, “Rolla One” and “Rolla World”, and this startup is also developing a hardware wearable device “Rolla Band” with which the user can easily take control of their fitness journey.

Rolla was founded by Igor Krezić in 2019.

– Everything starts with Krezić’s journey towards fitness and health. In the past, achieving a healthier lifestyle was a challenge for him, so he experimented with different methods, from traditional training to advanced technology, but he didn’t feel completely satisfied. Determined to find a solution that empowers individuals to take control of their health and live their best lives possible, he embarked on a journey to create Rolla in 2019 with a mission to help people improve their health and fitness. Choosing Rolla as your fitness companion means choosing a journey towards a better life, thus it stands out among similar applications that rely solely on data – they said in an interview with Fena from this Mostar startup.

Although still in the beta phase, long-term users of Rolla gathered active members and users of these applications through social platforms, but also live in Mostar through organized training events, into one community of beta users who provide their input for faster development of Rolla products.

– We are delighted to witness the enthusiastic acceptance of Rolla by individuals who recognize its potential to improve their lives. This growing community is a testament to the impact Rolla is making in the world of health and fitness. Also, we point out that beta testing will end by the end of the year, and the launch is planned for CES 2025 in Las Vegas – according to Rolla.

The investors in Rolla are the investment company of Sacha Dragić “Hellen’s Rock”, an angel investor from Serbia and the executive director of the Rimac Group, Mate Rimac.

– In the first round, Rolla collected 3.1 million KM investments. In the second round, a total of 12.2 million KM investments were made in the seed round of financing. This is the largest investment for a startup from the fitness technology sphere in Central and Eastern Europe – they point out.

They believe that the strength of the mission and the current time, marketing timing within this industry are the most important, although each element mentioned has the potential to influence success.

– Our current main focus is delivering a top product, and that requires a top team. The current team consists of over 45 employees with many years of experience in software development, and we are in the process of hiring talent, not only locally, but also globally, and you can see all the available jobs on our website at the link – according to Rolla.
