1000 first aid kits for every woman who recently had breast cancer surgery

This year, the organization “Think Pink – Together we are one” provided 1000 first aid packages for every woman who recently had breast cancer surgery in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This type of support is of great importance for women who have gone through this very difficult and traumatic experience. In this way, we support them and send the message that they are not alone. The packages contain: a cotton prosthesis, an exercise ball, herbal skin products, a manual for the use of natural self-medication substitutes and a guide for women who had cancer with all the necessary information. With this package, women will also receive a heart-shaped pillow. The packages will be distributed through the Think Pink network or directly in healthcare facilities.

This is just one of the activities of our organization this year. We are implementing a project through which we will provide psychosocial support for women in several cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will also start with free mammograms in rural parts of the country. We remind you that during the last year, despite the coronavirus pandemic, we managed to perform more than 1,500 examinations at 25 locations throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Preparations are underway for the largest socially responsible event in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Race for the Cure, which gathered 4,500 participants in last year’s first digital edition, thanks to whose registrations, among other things, we implement our activities.

“Think Pink – Together we are one” is one of the most successful organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina that deals with women’s health. In the last 16 years of work in BiH, we have had several hundred thousand direct users.
