The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, passed the Decision on determining the list of beneficiaries and distributing a part of the income generated on the basis of fees for organizing games of chance, in the amount of 1,600,000 KM.
From the total amount, KM 600,000 will be allocated for the financing of programs and projects in the field of “Culture promotion”, which are contained in the approved final proposal of the list of beneficiaries, after the public tender procedure has been carried out.
The amount of 1,000,000 KM is distributed for the financing of programs and projects in the field of “Promoting the development of professional and amateur sports with the aim of increasing the funds of the reward fund for distinguished sports results”, which are contained in the approved final proposal of the list of beneficiaries, after the procedure carried out according to the public competition.
The decision stipulates that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports shall, no later than 15 days from the entry into force of this decision, conclude individual contracts on the allocation of funds with all beneficiaries to whom they have been allocated. It was specified that the contracts will contain a provision, according to which the obligations of the users of the funds will be determined regarding the intended use of the allocated funds, the submission of reports, as well as the deadlines. If the users of the funds do not submit reports within the deadline or spend the allocated funds contrary to the prescribed criteria, they are obliged to return the funds within eight days.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports will, in accordance with the law, take appropriate measures against the user of the funds who does not make the refund. The decision also stipulates that users of funds who do not submit a report on the use of funds within the agreed period or spend the allocated funds contrary to the prescribed criteria, will not be able to exercise the right to the allocation of funds in the next three years.
