Thanks to talented children and students of the Music-Educational Center Banja Luka, 11 awards arrived in the city on the Vrbas River, which were won in the piano category by young talents in the class of teacher Jovana Savić Pajić at the International Music Festival “Primavera”, held in ethno-village Stanišići, near Bijeljina.
This year, the festival gathered 368 competitors from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, Austria and other countries in the region.
“This is the fifth year that this great festival has been held. Although the competition had to be canceled last year due to a pandemic, this year the organizers managed to gather a large number of competitors. As for the Music-Educational Center Banja Luka, we performed 11 compositions, of which we had nine first prizes, and that is a very striking result. We also had one second and one third prize. These awards are all from only one class, which is a fantastic result”, said Jovana Savić Pajić, director of the Music-Educational Center Banja Luka and piano teacher.
The winners of these awards and recognitions are talented children from six to 11 years old, and the first places in the pre-category were won by Katja Kuprešak, Teodor Zeljković, Nikolaj Karalić, Rajna Janković, Olivera Kecman, Emilija Gatić and Lazar Maglov. The medal for the first place was also won by two piano duos Lazar Maglov and Olivera Kecman and Nikolaj Karalić and Rajna Janković. The talented Zara Baštinac, the winner of the second prize, and Anja Vukelić, who won the third prize, also achieved a notable result in the first category.
“The success achieved at the mentioned competition is a kind of recognition for our work on improving early music education for children,” Savić Pajić explained.
During the weekend, participants competed in the piano, accordion, violin, solo singing, wind instruments (flute, clarinet, trumpet) and guitar disciplines.
“We are very pleased that the jury recognized our commitment to each child and the tremendous love we put into making early music education available to a large number of children. We are sure that with this we contribute to Banja Luka taking a significant place on the map of music education centers in the region”, Savić Pajić explained for” Nezavisne”.
The organizer of the festival is the Association of Citizens “Music Artists of Semberija”, and the president of the Association, Siniša Pajić, said that he was proud of the number of participants they managed to gather this year. A friend and sponsor of the laureate of the festival, Bijeljina lawyer Miloš Stevanović pointed out that “Primavera” has become a trademark of music culture of the city of Bijeljina.
The mayor of Bijeljina, Ljubiša Petrović, also welcomed the competitors of solo guitar, piano and solo singing.
