World Cleaning Day: Lactalis BH and Inmer again this year with the Let’s Do It initiative

The teams of Lactalis BH and Inmera showed their commitment to the protection and preservation of the environment, and the promotion of responsibility towards nature, by joining the global volunteer action World Cleanup Day. This year, more than 50 employees gathered on Mount Igman and Lake Vidara near Gradačac. The result of the action is more than 1500 kg of collected waste.

“This is not the first time that Lactalis employees have shown great heart and concern for the local community. Lactalis in BiH recognizes its responsibility towards environmental protection and sustainable business practices. The engagement of Lactalis teams in action on the occasion of the World Cleanup Day is one of the concrete steps we are continuously taking to create a cleaner planet for future generations. We are proud of our employees who are always happy to respond to such actions, actively contributing to the well-being of the community and a cleaner environment”,  said Ina Škrbić, marketing director of Lactalis BH.

The cleaning action was implemented as part of the global initiative Let’s Do It, the goal of which is a cleaner local community and a cleaner planet through local initiatives and cleaning actions, education on waste management, encouraging the separation and recycling of waste and spreading awareness of the importance of nature conservation. The campaign on the occasion of the World Cleaning Day, which this year in Bosnia and Herzegovina is being conducted under the slogan “Do you need a reason?”, aims to encourage as many individuals and organizations as possible to get involved, take their share of responsibility and efforts for a cleaner and healthier planet. This year, with clean-up actions around the world, we want to encourage the population to see the reasons for cleaning our environment all around us.

The teams of Lactalis BH and the Inmer dairies participated in the actions in previous years as well, and last year they marked the World Cleanup Day with day-long actions at two locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina – in Bjelašnica near Sarajevo and around Lake Vidara near Gradačac, where in addition to cleaning, they also carried out reforestation .
