The name of Branka Vujasin is probably not known in public, although she is someone who does good deeds every day. Namely, Branka dedicated the last four years of her life to rescuing cats from the streets of Banja Luka, feeding them, taking them to the vet and finding an adequate and forever home. It all started a couple of years ago when she found a sick kitten and adopted him. Today he is one healthy and big cat. Great love and understanding were born by spending time with these helpless animals. Branka has been at the unemployment bureau for years and works occasionally cleaning stairs and offices. She spends all the money she earns for food or vet costs for these helpless creatures. In the past four years, she has rescued and adopted more than sixty cats. No one helped her financially except some of the vet clinics, which gave her a discount because she brought sick animals almost every day. She says that she simply cannot pass by a cat or a kitten that is sick or looks hungry.
She uses Facebook to find homes for cats
Social media networks played a big role in this story. More precisely, two FB pages for helping animals, “Help animals – Banja Luka” and “Udruženje građana Kerber Banja Luka”. The name of this woman is all over these pages. In addition to her three cats, she also feeds about twenty street cats who come to the same place, at the same time every day.
