BANJALUKA – The public call for the award of the “Kočić Award” for 2024 is underway, and according to the organizers, applications can be sent until the end of June.
As stated in the invitation published by the Organizing Committee of the 59th Kočić Choir, the “Kočić Award” is awarded for the entire work written in the Serbian language in the field of literature, linguistics and literary criticism, which is characterized by high scientific, artistic and professional values in the spirit of Kočić’s creativity.
This award consists of a Charter and a monetary award, which this year has been increased to the amount of 5,000 KM.
“Candidates for the “Kočić Award” can be nominated by associations of writers, publishers, libraries, educational and scientific institutions in the field of Serbian language and literature, and individuals, with the obligation that the proposal be submitted in written form with an explanation,” the organizers state.
As they pointed out, proposals are submitted to the Department for Social Activities of the City Administration of the City of Banjaluka, through the reception office of the City Administration – office 14, in a sealed envelope, marked: for the award of the “Kočić Award” for the year 2024, or by mail – by registered mail, to the address : City of Banja Luka, City Administration, Department of Social Activities, Trg srpski vladara 1, 78 000 Banja Luka.
They noted that the “Kočić Award” will be presented to the laureate at the ceremonial academy that will be organized as part of this year’s “59. Kočić choir”.
