The Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska has announced two new competitions in the field of culture intended for the development of this area in the Republic of Srpska, namely the Public Competition for the co-financing of projects that encourage the development of entrepreneurship in the creative industries in the Republic of Srpska for the year 2024 and the Public Competition for the co-financing of capital projects in the field of promotion and preservation of cultural heritage – formation of cultural and touristic routes in the Republic of Srpska.
The subject of the Public Tender for co-financing of projects that encourage the development of entrepreneurship in creative industries is the allocation of funds to support entrepreneurship in creative industries in 2024 for the areas of publishing, visual arts, graphic design, music production, fashion and artistic crafts (crafts characterized by products and services of high aesthetic value, design, artistic and other solutions with expressed creativity and individuality of the master – artist).
The right to apply for this public competition is for self-employed entrepreneurs registered for activities in the field of culture and art and limited liability companies in the field of publishing and music production.
With this competition as a pilot project, the Ministry of Education and Culture is introducing a novelty as a specific mechanism of cultural policy, which it advocates in an effort to contribute to the development of the cultural and creative industry in the Republic of Srpska, as an inseparable factor in the general development of culture, and through support to the people who deal with it.
The total funds for the implementation of this competition in the amount of 150,000 KM were provided from funds from part of the income from games of chance. From the same grant, funds were provided for the implementation of the Public tender for co-financing of capital projects in the field of promotion and preservation of cultural heritage (formation of cultural and touristic routes in the Republic of Srpska) in the amount of 125,000 KM.
The goal of the second competition is to provide support to projects that encourage the promotion and preservation of cultural heritage in the Republic of Srpska through the formation of cultural routes; which strengthen and develop cultural tourism through the promotion and valorization of cultural and natural heritage in cooperation with institutions, public cultural institutions, private and civil sectors; promote cultural routes related to famous personalities of Republika Srpska; promote immovable cultural heritage through cultural routes; encourage connections between the characteristic attractions of certain localities (smaller towns and villages) that can be combined into thematic arrangements; who develop modern models for interactive communication with visitors through digital content.
Public cultural institutions founded by a local self-government unit and cultural associations dealing with the protection and promotion of cultural heritage have the right to apply for this public competition.
Public competitions with mandatory supporting forms are available on the official website of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska (www.vladars.rs) and remain open for 30 days from the date of publication in Nezavisne novine, i.e. until December 20, 2024, it was announced from Ministry of Education and Culture of the RS.
