Hanging out by the campfire, going to sleep under the starry sky and waking up to the chirping of birds are just some of the experiences you will have while camping.
True lovers of nature, the young couple Josip and Kristina decided to make their dreams come true and start an educational children’s “Naturaleza Camp” in Livno.
REST FOR SOUL AND BODY
Kristina has a master’s degree in sanitary engineering, and Josip is a kinesiologist and the founder of a gymnastics club in Livno, and they pass on their love and passion for sports to a large number of children and adults.
” We spend most of our free time in nature. We like to be alone, away from the city noise. We believe that every person needs an “escape” from everyday life, and there is no better place for that than nature. It was in nature, during one of our camping trips, that we came up with the idea of a camp. Aware that children spend most of their free time in front of screens, we decided to start a children’s camp. Naturaleza is a fun and educational children’s camp that was launched last year. The camp is designed as a full-day stay in nature, during which children develop motor and cognitive abilities, participate in creative workshops and learn scouting elements”, Kristina said in an interview with Akta.ba.
The children’s stay at the camp is filled with activities, including numerous motor and cognitive games, various workshops, and mastering scouting elements.
” During a break from activities, we enjoy swimming in the nearby river. When night falls, we hang out by the campfire and go to sleep under the starry sky,” said Kristina.
Last year they held four camps and had a great response. This year they hope there will be even more interest.
When asked what makes their camp different from others, she says that although there are various children’s camps, they haven’t found a combination of such activities in any of them, so they believe that they are different, that is, authentic.
The most beautiful part of their job is true happiness and fun with the children who visit the camp.
MEMORIES FOR A LIFETIME
Kristina points out that every man should surrender to the peace and quiet of nature in order to rest his soul and body.
“Children in our camp create memories for a lifetime, we believe that the camping experience enriches their lives in many ways. After camping, they leave happy and fulfilled, in anticipation of coming back to the camp. Also, children are forbidden to bring mobile phones to the camp, and in this way we want them not to be disturbed during camping and to have a break from technology”, she said.
They believe that with the camp they have enriched Livno’s tourist offer, and that will come to the fore only in a few years when they develop even more.
At the end of the conversation, she revealed to us what her plans are for the future and announced new activities that have not yet been implemented in the camp.
“This year, we will include two-day camps and additional workshops in the offer, which we did not conduct last year. In the future, we see ourselves as a camp for children and adults, an oasis of peace where all true nature lovers are welcome. Considering that only one year of business is behind us, we believe that every year we will be better and more successful”, said Kristina.
