Trebinje without competition: Winner of the award for the best promotional video for the second time

The southernmost city of Republika Srpska, Trebinje, received the “GOLDEN STAR” award for the second time for the best promotional tourist video in the competition “The Golden City Gate 2024” in Berlin.

The Tourist Organization of Trebinje confirmed that, after last year’s award, Trebinje received a new recognition for the promotional video “Trebinje goes green” in the “Eco Tourism” category, authored by Slavenko Vukasović (HERZ Adventures), whose creation and nomination was supported by the City of Trebinje. The Development Agency of the City of Trebinje TREDEA and the Tourism Organization of the City of Trebinje.

They reminded that this year the award was also given at the world’s largest tourism and travel fair “ITB Berlin”, which was held for the 23rd time, and that it is another in a series of awards and recognitions that went to the City of Trebinje.

“Our city has been in the TOP 100 stories of sustainable tourism for three years in a row, as part of the Green Destinations program, and we remind you that in 2022, the Herzegovina House was declared the best story in the world in the category of sustainable supply chains,”  announced the Trebinje Tourism Organization.

As part of the “Iter Vitis” cultural route of the Council of Europe in 2022, Trebinje was declared the best sustainable wine destination, along with the Cellars of the Tvrdoš Monastery, which received the award for the best practice that improves cultural and historical heritage and wine.

The award ceremony was also attended by representatives of the GIZ organization in BiH, with whose support major steps were taken towards the positioning and certification of Trebinje as the first “green” destination in BiH.

The tourist offer of Trebinje is presented at the stand of the Tourist Organization of the Republic of Srpska.
