Three “Oscars” for Livno cheese – Awarded among more than 4,700 cheeses

Livanjski cheese won three prestigious awards at the World Cheese Awards this year. The competition, also known as the “Cheese Oscar”, was held from November 15 to 17 in Vis, Portugal, and the organizers declared it the most significant so far, as it received a record number of applications.

4,786 cheeses from 47 countries were judged by 240 judges from 40 countries, including cheese experts such as technologists and assessors, as well as retailers, chefs and journalists. Despite the large number of samples, they did not miss the quality of Mljekare Livno cheese.

For the fourth year in a row, the hard cow’s cheese from Livanj was recognized as top quality and received a silver medal. Goat cheese was also awarded the same award, in the category of hard goat cheeses, and for this recognition, as stated by BiH. dairies, especially proud.
