With cyclists of all ages who took to the streets of Banja Luka and Mostar, the love for cycling was united with advocacy for cleaner air and a healthier way of life.

The significant and enthusiastic response from citizens reflects the growing recognition of cycling as a viable alternative to cars which allows citizens to experience their cities in a new way, fostering a sense of ownership and encouraging them to consider walking, cycling or using public transport as a viable alternative to driving.

European Mobility Week  is marked throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina with recreational and educational activities organized by local governments in cooperation with organizations and partners in order to highlight the need to raise awareness of improving public health and implementing sustainable and healthier solutions for all citizens.

Sustainable urban mobility also promotes social inclusion, as cycling and walking are available to a wider range of people.
