As of today, Bosnia and Herzegovina also has an official SDG portal for coordination of activities for development, production and dissemination of sustainable development indicators of Bosnia and Herzegovina. All users will have access to updated information on the status of global SDG indicators for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is available at the following link: https://sdg.bhas.gov.ba/
The SDG portal was created and will continue to be administered by the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On this occasion, Vesna Ćužić, Acting Director of the Agency for Statistics of BiH, said that Bosnia and Herzegovina, as one of 170 countries, a member of the United Nations, is committed to achieving global goals from the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development until 2030, and that the Agency for Statistics of BiH has a key role in the development, production and dissemination of quality and internationally comparable indicators for measuring progress in each of the defined areas in our country.
In order to provide all users with access to updated information on the status of SDG indicators for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ćužić points out that the Agency for Statistics of BiH, with the technical support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), has developed a portal of sustainable development indicators.
Vesna Ćužić also emphasized that, since the process of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s accession to the European Union and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Agenda until 2030 are complementary processes that are mutually complementary, this project will also contribute to the development and improvement of official statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
