An interesting project in Gradiska. Abandoned land in the coastal area, which cannot be used for agricultural production, the Forestry Farm uses for poplar tree plantation planting.
The investments are significant, but so are the profits they expect.
It all started six years ago, when in the undefended part on the right bank of the Sava in the Milava region, the Gradiska Forest Farm, in cooperation with the Institute for Lowland Forestry from Novi Sad, planted 1,200 poplar seedlings on three hectares.
In addition to poplar plantation cultivation, the Gradiska Forest Farm is also active in afforestation. About 25 hectares are afforested every year.
