The first workshop within the project “Media literacy for persons with disabilities”

In June, the first workshop on media and information literacy was held in Bužim within the project “Media Literacy for Persons with Disabilities”.

The workshop was organized by the Association of Dystrophic Patients Bužim as a partner organization together with the Association LAN from Bihać. The topic of the first workshop was “Development and improvement of media and information literacy and critical thinking” and the workshop participants were members of the Association of Dystrophic Patients Bužim and other persons with disabilities from the Municipality of Bužim.

The aim of this activity is to improve the civic participation of persons with disabilities through the development of media literacy. We want to enable people with disabilities to acquire new knowledge and skills in the field of media literacy, in order to empower them for even more significant contribution and participation in the community, promoting the growth and development of associations in the field of social inclusion.

We are implementing the project “Media Literacy for Persons with Disabilities” as part of the regional project STRONG – Media without Hate and Disinformation, which is implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey, with the support of the European Union. The coordinator of the project for Bosnia and Herzegovina is the Foundation for the Development of Media and Civil Society Mediacentar from Sarajevo.
