On October 27, the Government of the Federation of BiH passed a decree on the conditions for granting financial assistance to crafts and other independent activities in the FBiH in order to mitigate the negative consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
The total amount of financial assistance per one user for crafts and other independent activities according to the decision of the FBiH government is a maximum of 30,000 BAM.
The allocation of financial assistance refers to the refund of the already paid part of the gross salary for employees, i.e., the part of the contributions that are calculated on the prescribed basis for the calculation of contributions for owners for the period from August 1, 2020 to July 31, 2021.
The total financial resources given to the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts amount to 60 million BAM and will be paid no later than January 31, 2022. The funds will be allocated to users (crafts and other independent activities) on the basis of data obtained from the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH.
In this regard, in order to receive funds, they must meet the conditions to have at least one employee as of July 31, 2021 and as of July 31, 2022, paid all obligations based on contributions and taxes and that their main transaction accounts are active as of November 31, 2021.
They must also prove that they have preserved the existing jobs in such a way that on November 30, 2021 they have the same or a larger number of employees compared to July 31, 2021 or that the average number of employees in the period from August 01, 2021 in the same or higher than the average number of employees in the period from August 01, 2020 – July 31, 2021.
In case that due to the large number of potential beneficiaries of financial assistance, the total financial resources are not sufficient, the funds will be proportionally reduced to all potential beneficiaries of financial assistance.
