The memorandum is open for signature by other organizations.
Today, in Sarajevo, at the premises of the Cineplexx cinema, a STAR forum was held entitled “Challenge vs. Opportunity: GenZ in the Labor Market?”
The forum brought together local and regional experts in career development and youth employment, who discussed new ideas for youth development and employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The forum was dedicated to the role of Generation Z, the “first digital generation” in the labor market, and the challenges and specificities that this generation brings to the labor market.
The organizer of the Forum was the Social Innovation Incubator MUNJA, and one of the partners was the Labor and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the Forum, the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Labor and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and non-governmental organizations was organized with the aim of working together to improve the employability of vulnerable groups in the labor market.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Agency by Director Ivan Barbalić, and on the other hand, the memorandum was signed by representatives of more than twenty non-governmental organizations.
On that occasion, Director Barbalić emphasized that “cooperation and dialogue with social partners – non-governmental organizations has enormous potential for improving the situation on the labor market, especially for vulnerable groups on the labor market (youth, women, Roma) and the integration of foreign workers in local communities. On the other hand, through this cooperation, the civil sector gains the opportunity for institutional cooperation and the opportunity to participate in the creation of labor market policies.”

Barbalić also emphasized that “the European Economic and Social Council (EESC), or rather the Western Balkans Monitoring Committee, welcomed this cooperation and the signing of the Memorandum in its latest report sent to members of the Parliament, the European Commission and the EU Council of Ministers. The European Economic and Social Council also emphasized that social dialogue is one of the binding elements in the process of joining the European Union.”
The Memorandum of Cooperation between the Labor and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and non-governmental organizations remains open for signing with other non-governmental organizations that were unable to attend the STAR Forum today.
