Students of the UNSA Faculty of Agriculture and Food participated in “Eating City Summer Campus 2024”

The program enabled them to gain valuable knowledge, experience and international professional connections.

In the period from September 3 to 9, 2024, students of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food of the University of Sarajevo, Dika Šabanović and Dzeneta Fazlić, stayed at La Bergerie de Villarceaux, where they participated in the event “Eating City Summer Campus 2024”. After the competition for the international campus was announced in the first half of the year, female students applied independently and after the selection process, got the opportunity to attend.

“Eating City Summer Campus” focuses on identifying and solving the challenges of the current food system. During the program, participants analyzed the strengths and problems of existing systems, and explored opportunities for improvement. Inspired by the successful examples of environments such as Copenhagen, Ghent, Dordogne and Scotland, they developed a Public Food Procurement declaration that offers solutions to challenges in the food system, with the aim of building more resilient and sustainable systems.

Through interactive sessions and practical workshops, our students significantly contributed to the creation of this framework that integrates technology, human resources and sustainable practices. The program enabled them to gain valuable knowledge, experience and international professional connections.
