The music kindergarten will officially start operating in October, and their idea was recognized by the Municipality of Tomislavgrad.

Tomislavgrad will get the first music kindergarten in the area of Canton 10, and two young musicians, Karla Radoš from Duvno and Sara Marolt from Zagreb, are responsible for that. Namely, the two of them are students of the University of Mostar and will soon receive a master’s degree in music. As they told Bljesak.info, not wanting to “wait for a job”, they set out to realize their dreams – transferring knowledge and love for music to the youngest. “The program we have designed includes children from the age of four to nine, and it will be organized in groups.

These are music workshops, drawing, listening to music, singing, piano, guitar and accordion courses are planned for children from the age of six to nine,” Karla Radoš told Bljesak.info. The main goal of the program, she said, is to sensitize the child to rhythm, pitch, tempo, dynamics, interpretation and strengthen the interest in music and art in general. The music kindergarten will officially start operating in October, and as Karla said, their idea was recognized by the Municipality of Tomislavgrad. “Sara and I talked to Mayor Ivan Buntić, who supported our idea, and the Municipality will finance the entire project.

For the beginning, we have space in the Elementary Music School in Tomislavgrad, and new and larger spaces should be given after the completion of the construction of a new kindergarten”, she said for Bljesak.info, adding that the residents of Tomislavgrad reacted very positively to the opening of the music kindergarten. Parents of children under the age of four are also eagerly asking when their children will be able to attend this program. “I want to stay in Tomislavgrad, I know that nothing will ‘fall from the sky’. I want to stay here and create.

From the first year of study, I would like to deal with everything that has to do with music, and that’s why I can’t wait for everything to start,” said Karla. Sara Marolt from Zagreb is a positive surprise for the residents of this place, considering that she decided to realize her career and creativity in Herzegovina, instead of Zagreb. Namely, as she discovered, although at the beginning of her studies she could not even imagine life outside Zagreb, her current plan is to live in Mostar and travel to Tomislavgrad and implement workshops and courses.

These musicians say that there are places for young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, you just need to create opportunities and enjoy what you love.
