Summaries of supported projects:

ASSOCIATION OF CITIZENS OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY HRVATI 1 MAJ – Veliki za male

With its project, this relatively young association wants to improve the quality of social activities and the ecological image in the area of LC Hrvati Lukavac. This community is the closest to the industrial zone of Lukavac, and currently they do not have any facilities for the social life of children and other citizens. With this project, the association will create a green area in the yard of the House of Culture in Hrvati, which is owned by LC Hrvati, and which is also used by the regional school attended by students from 1st to 4th grade. The aim of this project is to create an adequate, fenced and safe area for children to stay as well as to strengthen environmental awareness, i.e., improving the awareness of people, especially children, about the importance and preservation of the environment as well as improving the quality of life in the area of this local community. They planned to arrange a green area in the yard by setting up a playroom for children, which consists of a house, slides, swings, a climbing wall, as well as to enrich the greenery in the yard and also border the set playroom on two sides by planting cypresses. It will also set up 2 benches and trash cans. In addition, the goal of the project is to physically separate the school yard from the road that passes by the said plot for the safety of students.

Within the project, a minimum of three annual cleaning and landscaping actions will be realized with the support of LGZR members Simin Han for the following locations: Jala riverbed in the settlement of Talijani; the yard in front of the Ambulance; yard in front of the Agora Center, and coordination with LGZR representatives and school staff for possible assistance in the period (spring/summer).

Tinja wants to renovate this space, which has a large area, and enables the arrangement of a botanical garden and a creative corner. The botanical garden will be a space in three levels filled with planters with soil in which plants will be planted. The creative corner is a place where users could exchange ideas, knowledge and skills in a creative and relaxing way. It is conceived as a place for the realization of various educational workshops, free activities and classes. By introducing a new learning method, exchanging opinions, ideas and practical work, students will expand and improve their knowledge and life skills. The aim of the project is to connect the ideas of parents, teachers and the local community in a common goal aimed at children and their healthy and happy upbringing.

ASSOCIATION OF CITIZENS FOOTBALL CLUB MLADOST SOLINA – Happy corner for children

Football club Mladost Solina was founded in 1954 and as such is one of the oldest sports teams in the City of Tuzla and the wider region. This year it celebrated its 67th year. The club is currently competing in the II Cantonal League of Tuzla Canton – Group South, where it achieved very good results. In the previous period, they implemented several quality projects within their community with the support of Tuzla Community Foundation, but also local donors. The aim of this project is to improve the quality of life in the community by arranging a playroom for children and fencing the playroom to provide additional protection to its users. The project aims to arrange a playroom for children at the entrance to the Studenac stadium complex in Solina, repair of existing furniture, install lighting, create a safe environment for children by separating the area from the local road and parking, buy new furniture and video surveillance for security. The closest similar “outdoor playrooms” are located in the settlements of Brđani and Novo Naselje, which is quite far from this part of the local community.

Local Development Group Čelić – Open door for all – Čelić

The project “Open door for all” is primarily aimed at a sustainable and active local community, improving health, and socializing of citizens in the open and healthy air. The project is based on 4 ideas, which will be realized within this project initiative. The existing children’s playground in Čelić is quite far from the center, and children’s facilities are being destroyed by unknown persons. The idea of the applicant is to move them to new locations that are closer to children and parents, and to buy additional facilities to improve the safety and quality of life of children in local communities. Another idea is “Street workout park” – an outdoor gym. This would improve the quality of life of young people and satisfy their interest in sports and recreation. Students of the mechanical vocational school of the Public Institution MSŠ Čelić, welders, would also get involved in the work of making the park, which would also provide them with new practical experiences. The third idea of the project is the renovation of benches, planters and bulletin boards on the promenade in the center of Čelić. The fourth idea is to renovate the chess field and buy new pieces in the park in the center of Čelić, which are gladly visited by elderly and chess lovers.
