At the beginning of 2022, the City of Bihać, in partnership with the EU4AGRI project, is starting to renovate the market.

For this purpose and in accordance with the Decision on Communal Order, which, inter alia, prohibits the sale or display of agricultural, food, textile, technical and other products outside the open market, or on individual and public areas, except in the case of organizing events or occasional fairs, with the prior approval of the competent service, the City of Bihać published a public call for the allocation of stands and refrigerated display cases at the Bihać City Market, and the use of a special website (web-shop) to promote and sell products on preferential terms.
This public call refers to the use of infrastructure (point of sale, i.e., stand or refrigerated display case), promotion and sale of products through a special website on preferential terms, at least one free microbiological analysis of dairy and meat products and free use of parking for a limited time for 32 users as well as the promotion and sale of products through a special website on preferential terms for 10 more users over a period of 30 months, namely: in the first 12 months the use of these services is free. In the next 12 months, the amount of the discount is 80%, and in the last 6 months, the amount of the discount is 50%, it was announced on the city’s website.
The public call is intended exclusively for agricultural and food producers from the area of the city of Bihać who are engaged in primary production and processing of agricultural and food products, and for persons who are engaged in old crafts and making handicrafts and souvenirs. These can be registered agricultural holdings, registered trades, companies or cooperatives, as well as associations that bring together small agricultural holdings engaged in agricultural production, food processing and production, old crafts and the production of handicrafts and souvenirs.
Bihać City Market will be specially adapted for people with disabilities, and priority in allocating stands will be for people with disabilities who have mobility problems and are owned or employed by companies or crafts, or owners or family members of the owner of a registered farm or handicraft and will work as salespeople at the assigned booth.
When selecting beneficiaries, the commission will take into account the equal representation of women, men and young people. Selected users will sign a contract with the City of Bihać on the use of the City Market of Bihać on preferential terms for a period of 30 months. The planned start of the renovated Bihać City Market is August/September 2022.
The public call remains open for 10 days from the date of publication on the website of the City of Bihać, i.e., until December 9, 2021, until 12:00 hrs.
