Race for the Cure, one of the most important humanitarian events in our country, took place again this year in an atmosphere filled with togetherness, support and hope.
Among the 11,500 participants and 300 teams, who arrived in Sarajevo on September 29 from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina to contribute to the fight against breast cancer, was the Telemach BH team .
Telemach BH and the Telemach Foundation support this event for the sixth year in a row, both through donations and through the direct engagement and contribution of employees. This year, the Telemach team gathered 91 employees and 32 sponsors who, in addition to participating in the race/walk, collected approximately 3,000 KM.
A total of 240,000 KM was collected at the Race for the Cure 2024, and these funds are intended for prevention, education and assistance in treatment.
SUPPORT MESSAGES
With a symbolic run/walk, in which a large number of women who were cured of this disease took part, the participants celebrated life, pointed out the importance of prevention and early detection of the disease, and sent messages of support to the sick.
“Race for the Cure is not just an event for us, but a symbol of hope and the fight for life. As a company, we feel a strong responsibility to be a part of this story every year, which showed how much strength the community has when it unites and sends a common message about the importance of regular examinations and early treatment and shows solidarity with the sick. We sincerely hope that with this symbolic gesture of support and donation, we will help to carry out as many preventive examinations as possible and preserve the most important thing, which is the health and lives of our friends, mothers, sisters and all those (un)known women who fought and more are fighting this disease” , said Anesa Muhović, director of the Telemach Foundation.
The organizer of the race/walk is the “Think Pink – Zajedno smo jedno” association, with which the Telemach Foundation and the Telemach BH company will continue their cooperation in the future, with the aim of continuous support for breast cancer patients.
