Professional training of professors from Bosnia and Herzegovina held in Mostar

During the weekend, the first part of the workshop program “How to improve student communication in the classroom” was organized by the Center for Professional Development of Professors of the United World College in Mostar (UWC Mostar).

A series of 4 workshops for English language and literature teachers was organized with the aim of professional development and exchange of experiences among the participants.

The program was attended by 18 professors from 5 cantons of BiH – Canton Sarajevo, Central-Bosnian Canton, Herzegovina-Neretvan, Zenica-Doboj and Canton 10.

With numerous interactive and practical examples and exercises, the workshops consisted of four lectures:

1. Speaking skills (mentor: Ivana Pehar)

2. Strengthening speaking and communication skills (mentor: Adla Velagić)

3. Writing skill (mentor: Ivana Knejejević)

4. Audio visual media (mentor: Ian Stroughair)

After successfully completing the program, all participants were awarded certificates of participation in the professional development program.

The second part of the workshops intended for teachers of mathematics and history from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina is planned for the month of October this year.
