In the past few months, the Institute for Youth Development KULT and the Municipality of Centar, conducted a survey based on which an analysis of the needs and problems of young people in the Municipality of Centar was created. This analysis will be the basis for further work on the draft of the second strategic document for youth created by this Municipality.
In cooperation with the Service for Veterans Protection, Social Protection and Social Activities of the Municipality of Centar, the Institute will monitor the work of the Coordination Body and working groups that officially started working on collecting data on measures implemented by institutions regarding youth.
At the meeting held on July 6 tools and further steps for the development of a strategic document were presented, which will offer a new set of measures and mechanisms for improving the position of young people in this Municipality.
The approach that ensures that the Youth Strategy of the Municipality of Centar is truly a response to the needs and problems of young people will, in addition to the mentioned research, data collection by institutions, look at the results of the Youth Strategy 2014-2020. Implementation report of Strategy will serve to better understand the measures that will be created for the next five years.
The Youth Strategy is a document of government institutions with a program approach to youth action, which includes defined problems and needs of young people, strategic directions of action and goals and measures for the implementation of the strategy.
Interest areas for young people, which will be part of the Youth Strategy of the Municipality of Centar, concern the position of young people in the labor market, (self) employment and youth entrepreneurship, education (formal and informal), social care for young people, health care (preventive protection, reproductive and mental health), youth culture and sports, youth activism (participation, volunteering and mobility) and youth security.
