Croatian football club “Kupres ’97” is the only active sports club in Kupres. It competes in the Inter-County League of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, gathers seniors, beginners, pioneers and children, a total of 70 members who are daily involved in the activities of the Club.
The club was founded at the beginning of 2021, and since then they have implemented various projects: the facade of the sports house was done after twenty years of waiting, windows and canopy were installed and built, as well as equipment and jerseys through different kinds of donations. Also, through the action “ONE FAN, ONE CHAIR”, 250 seats were placed on the stands of the City Stadium where HNK “Kupres ’97” plays home games and organizes trainings.
Through the project “Equipping club premises” HNK “Kupres ’97” club premises were renovated; three locker rooms: for home and guest teams and judges, delegate room, two rooms/offices (for coaches, secretariat and meeting room) and hallway, office equipment and furniture were procured and windows were replaced. Kupres The Municipality financially supported this project in the amount of 2.548,26 BAM. The total value of the project is 9,638.53 BAM.
This project will encourage and positively contribute to the improvement of the quality of living conditions and the development of social infrastructure and services related to this infrastructure in the Kupres Municipality.
The club premises are equipped according to the standards and conditions of use for the football club and thus ensure better use and management of the sports house by both club representatives, players and sports fans.
Better conditions are also provided for quality work of football club employees with all club members, holding competitions in accordance with the rank of individual age groups, but also promoting in order to include more people, especially young people, to actively participate in sports and club work.
In addition to the above, extended use of the club premises is possible. With the implementation of the HNK Kupres ’97 project, it gained quality space for sports activities, but also additional social activities for all civil society organizations working in the Kupres area.
By strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations and involving community actors in solving local problems, we encourage joint work on local development and promote positive examples of social engagement in communities.
