On August 17, Višegrad hosts the festival “Licidersko srce”

The international children’s festival “Licidersko srce” will be held from August 15 to 19, and Višegrad will be the host on August 17, it was announced from this municipality after the meeting of representatives of the Organizing Committee with the mayor of the municipality, Mladen Đurević.

Vice President of the Festival’s Organizing Committee, Ivana Cvjetković, said that Višegrad will host ensembles from China, Greece, Bulgaria and Slovakia. She added that especially dear guests will be members of the ensemble from Zvečani and all of them will perform together with the folklore ensemble “King Petar the Unifier” from Višegrad.

Cvjetković mentioned that Višegrad will be the host for the 13th time and that on that day children from four countries will arrive, who will walk along the bridge and city streets in national costumes and then present part of their culture and traditions in Andrićgrad.

The artistic director of the ensemble, Danijela Šućur, said that they are proud to host a festival evening this time as well.

– We try to include all our children in the organization, to animate volunteers so that they can properly welcome guests and present their city in the most beautiful light – said Šućur.

About 1,000 children aged 10 to 16 will participate in this year’s festival, which is organized by the “Era” Citizens’ Association from Užice.
