Novović: Sutjeska is a “coronavirus free” zone where everyone can enjoy nature (VIDEO)

Sutjeska National Park is located about an hour and a half drive from the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and offers a variety of activities for all categories of the population, whether you are looking for an active or relaxing type of vacation.

As Nevena Novović, an expert associate for tourism in the Sutjeska National Park, said at today’s promotion, it is the oldest and largest national park in Bosnia and Herzegovina, an open space covered with untouched nature and a “coronavirus free” zone where all employees are vaccinated.

Novović emphasizes that the Perućica rainforest is an untouched natural pearl, unique in the whole of Europe, and next to it, the Sutjeska National Park offers many other facilities on Tjentište, the largest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maglić or Zelengora.

When you visit Tjentište, it is inevitable to visit the monument, museum and memorial house of the Battle of Sutjeska. We offer a sports and recreational area with a swimming pool. The Perućica rainforest is the largest and oldest preserved rainforest in Europe, lungs of Europe. Within the park, there is also the highest mountain peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Maglić, we have mountain houses of katuna on Prijevor, mountain houses on Zelengora where you can enjoy all of its lakes“, said Novović.

He emphasizes that a visit to all of the above requires several days of rest in Sutjeska. At the moment, tours and guides are offered for all activities and visits, the Perućica rainforest can only be visited with guides because the primary task of the Sutjeska National Park is to preserve natural resources.

The Sutjeska National Park hope that measures for prevention of the coronavirus pandemic will be alleviated soon, so that events such as music festivals, auto-moto rallies and other events can be organized in the park.

We are here throughout the summer, we offer rest and adventure and we invite the citizens of Sarajevo Canton to visit us and visit the beauties of Sutjeska,” concluded Novović.
