Today, the local partnership Centar Sarajevo announced a new Public Call for Entrepreneurship Support – “Start your creative and / or ICT business!”, which is being implemented within the project “EU4Business”, funded by the European Union.
The Public Call is intended for young people (18-35 years old) from the Sarajevo Canton who are interested in starting a business in the field of ICT or creative industries.
Applications are submitted electronically, by filling out a form. More information is available on the websites of all member institutions of the local partnership Centar Sarajevo, which includes the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo, the Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton, CEFE BiH, International Burch University, Bit Alliance and DVC Solutions d.o.o.
The EU4Business project is funded by the European Union, with the aim of coordinating activities related to economic development, which are aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and job creation in existing companies.
The EU4Business project enabled the establishment of the Center for Excellence in Entrepreneurship Sarajevo, which provides long-term support to young entrepreneurs in starting new businesses and creating jobs. EU4Business is worth 16.1 million euros, and is jointly financed by the European Union (15 million euros) and the Federal Republic of Germany (1.1 million euros), and is realized by GIZ, UNDP and ILO.
At least 50 participants will be included in this Call, while a minimum of seven best rated will receive financial support for starting a business.
The support program will provide participants with SIYB training in business planning (methodology of the International Labor Organization (ILO), mentoring support in developing all elements of the business plan, a grant of up to 10,000 BAM per business, for the seven best rated business plans), business mentoring in first year of business, mentoring in ICT areas relevant to a specific entrepreneurial venture, mentoring in the field of creative industries relevant to a specific business idea, and networking with related entrepreneurs, partners and clients.
The Call is open until March 4, 2021.
