Municipality of Centar: Humanitarian exhibition on the Sarajevo carpet

On the promenade “Pedestrian Zone – Sarajevo Carpet”, a humanitarian exhibition of art works by students of the school of drawing and painting was opened.

The aforementioned activity was implemented as part of the project “Strengthening the Community Center”, which is implemented as part of the project “Strengthening the role of local communities in BiH”, with the financial support of the governments of Switzerland and Sweden, and in the implementation of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Art workshops in the Community Center were led by academic painter and head of the Atelier Fly painting and drawing school Faris Hadžihasanović.

-Through the workshops, we wanted to give freedom to the participants to express themselves through their creativity. The participants of the workshop, about 200 of them, were of all ages, from the youngest to our oldest fellow citizens. The project was successfully implemented, and the satisfaction of our participants is the best indicator. The final activity of this project is today’s humanitarian exhibition on the Sarajevo carpet, and we will direct the money from the sale of paintings to the SOS Children’s Village, said Hadžihasanović.
