On July 12, 2022, the Startup Studio will host the Minister of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, Adnan Delic, and young people who are looking for an opportunity to start their own business. Apply for “Coffee with the Minister”!
The Startup Studio is organizing another event called Coffee with the Minister, which will discuss the Public call for the implementation of a program to support young people in establishing startup business entities. The call is implemented by the Ministry of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton as part of the Annual Plan for the Implementation of the Small Business Development Incentive Program.
At the first Coffee with the Minister, held at the Startup Studio, in May of this year, Minister Adnan Delic listened to young people and heard what problems they face when applying for public calls. After that, the Ministry made a step forward and the amount of grant funds was increased to 18,000 BAM, and the participation amount was reduced to 5%. The activity code criterion was also relaxed.
The Minister of Economy, Adnan Delic emphasized that one of the obstacles for young people when applying for this program was writing a business plan. Startup Studio, as an already established partner of young entrepreneurs, in cooperation with Basic (Business Advanced Start-up Initiative Center), will provide mentorship and education for all young people who want to learn how to prepare a business plan. Education will directly facilitate the application process for young people. The date of the training will be announced on July 12, 2022.
“In cooperation with Startup Studio, we want to provide young people with education on business plan writing, and I am glad that we managed to agree on that this year. Cooperation with everyone who can contribute to the development of the business environment is important to us, and we are always ready for cooperation. Also, we will do everything to establish a business incubator by the end of this year, which will be under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economy and which will be our base from which we will work and support development of entrepreneurship and the overall business environment in our Canton,” said Minister Adnan Delic.
