The opening of the exhibition will be held on Wednesday, July 24, at 11 a.m. on the Spanish Square.
“El Prado on the streets” is the name of the project that started in 2015, allowing the works of the Prado Museum to occupy public spaces on the streets of different cities around the world, and for the first time the exhibition is coming to the Balkans, more precisely Mostar, on whose streets 30 masterpieces will be displayed works.
As announced, the opening of the exhibition will be held on Wednesday, July 24, at 11 a.m. on the Spanish Square.
The selected 30 masterpieces will enable a journey through the various schools that make up the artistic landscape of the Prado Museum’s permanent collection, familiarization with the history of Spain, Europe and Western art with the great masters of Spanish painting, announced the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The exhibition is organized by the Embassy of Spain in cooperation with UNESCO, the Office of the European Union in BiH and the City of Mostar.
The exhibition remains open until August 5.
