Mostar majorettes had the honor of participating in another European tour from August 14 to 20.
This year’s destination was the town of Mende in the southeastern part of France.
It is about the festival “Les grandes fetes de Mende”, which is attended by numerous artists from different parts of Europe.
During the four days of the festival, rivers of participants from various fields of art, such as musicians and dancers, flowed through the streets and squares of the city of Mende.
A large enthusiastic audience greeted the passing groups with a standing ovation.
It is estimated that the festival attracted over ten thousand visitors.
Apart from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the participants of the festival were groups from Spain, Poland, Belgium and a large number of artists from all regions of France.
Like many festivals in France, this festival delighted its visitors with a multitude of large sculptures that were carefully crafted months before the festival.
Together with the groups, they decorated the procession and left all the visitors delighted.
We went on this tour together with the Wind Orchestra from Zenica, with whom we have had excellent cooperation for many years, and at the same time we were the only representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
By the way, France is known for a large number of similar festivals that are held throughout the year in various regions of France.
Majorettes from Mostar are proud that, through cooperation with the FV Production agency, they had the opportunity to visit some of the largest and most prestigious festivals in Europe for their soon to be 30 years of existence.
By the way, the Majorettes from Mostar participated in this festival back in 2004, so this year’s participation is also symbolic because after 20 years, the road brought us back to this beautiful town for its festival.
“With this tour, the Majorettes from Mostar once again promoted their Mostar, the county, but also the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the most beautiful way possible through dance ,” the organization says.

“After returning from France, there is no rest for our majorettes because already on Friday 23.8. with our junior-senior team, we travel to the festival in Vrbovec called What did our elders eat. Also, the new dance season for majorettes will officially begin at the beginning of September, when the registration for all new members will be announced,” they concluded.
