Locked shops all over Sarajevo, while bakeries, gas stations and markets are working normally

In the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, today is a legally non-working Sunday for shops except for bakeries, gas stations, florists and markets.

A photojournalist from the Klix.ba portal walked the streets of the BiH capital this morning and noted numerous closed shops and shopping centers.

And while many workers have a day off today, their colleagues in bakeries, flower shops, markets, markets and gas stations are still working today, as well as cinemas and catering facilities (unless the store owner decides otherwise).

Merchants, as well as citizens, will have to get used to doing their shopping in the remaining days of the week. That is why huge crowds were recorded in shopping centers and supermarkets on Saturday, especially in the evening.

Federal Minister of Trade Amir Hasičević, the day before the start of the non-working Sunday law, stated that all shopping centers can work (cinemas, flower shops and catering facilities), but shopping facilities inside the center must be closed on Sundays.

The Federal Market Inspectorate, in cooperation with the cantonal inspection bodies, will organize the activities of market inspectors in the area of all cantons in FBiH on Sunday.

If the sales facility does not point out and does not adhere to the established working hours, the law prescribes fines from 2,000 KM to 15,000 KM for a legal person trader, and from 500 KM to 1,500 KM for a responsible person in a legal entity, as well as for a natural person trader.
