The Student Union of the University of Mostar supported the project “Let’s exercise together” which is designed as a program of free group exercises for students of the University of Mostar, and will be held twice a week at “Trimuša” in Mostar.
As stated in the announcement, in the challenging times of the coronavirus pandemic, a large number of sports and recreational activities of students of the University of Mostar indoors were disabled, which resulted in a decrease in physical activity.
Physical exercise plays an irreplaceable role in maintaining physical and mental health. In addition, regular physical activity will raise the student’s personal energy level, improve mood and concentration. This will enable students a better quality of student life and easier studying. We should also not omit the social factor as an aspect of socializing that is provided by the relaxed atmosphere of exercising in nature outdoors while maintaining physical distance – the organizers said. The program itself, which will be held twice a week, will be led by final year students of kinesiology at the University of Mostar. At the beginning and at the end of the program, aerobic capacity testing will be organized and all students will have an insight into their results and progress upon completion of the program. In addition, occasional prizes will be awarded to students who attend regularly the exercises. The program was supported by the Student Union of the University of Mostar and will be completely free for all students.
