Dear fellow citizens,
We invite you to join another exciting adventure – “Zenič horizons”! The project is being implemented between the two most important dates for the city of Zenica, City Day and City Liberation Day. This year, we are focusing on the youngest fellow citizens and families, because we believe it is important to encourage the youngest to explore the magic of nature together.
Zenica’s horizons, already a traditional project of the Association “Vedro” from Zenica, since 2013 have been successfully animating and involving the population of Zenica and the surrounding area in hiking and hiking trips, tours of the city from all four corners of the world, and familiarization with geographical, geological, cultural and traditional aspects, as well as the tourist potential of our area.
Our goal is to encourage citizen activity and raise awareness of the benefits of spending time in nature for health and environmental awareness. Also, we want to unite different societies and associations that promote mountaineering and sports tourism.
We are aware that modern lifestyles have distanced people from nature, although staying in it is the key to a healthy life. That’s why we want to discover together with you the wealth of natural potential of our region and awaken the love for nature in young people and children.
