In 11 months of 2024, 1.8 million tourists will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina

10.8 percent more compared to the same period in 2023.

In the period January – November 2024, tourists in Bosnia and Herzegovina made 1,821,060 visits, which is 10.8 percent more than in the same period in 2023, according to data from the BiH Agency for Statistics.

Domestic tourists made 0.9 percent more visits compared to the same period in 2023, while foreign tourists made 15.2 percent more visits compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the period January – November 2024, tourists made 3,773,938 overnight stays, which is 8.6 percent more compared to the same period in 2023.

Domestic tourists had 1.1 percent more visits compared to the same period in 2023, while the number of overnight stays by foreign tourists was 11.9 percent higher compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the total number of overnight stays, the participation of domestic tourists is 28.9 percent, while the participation of foreign tourists is 71.1 percent

In the structure of overnight stays by foreign tourists, the most overnight stays were achieved by tourists from: Croatia (13.2 percent), Serbia (11.5 percent), Turkey (9.9 percent), Saudi Arabia (7.9 percent), Slovenia (5.8 percent), Germany (4.3 percent), USA (3.5 percent), China (3.3 percent), Italy (2.9 percent) and Poland with (2.7 percent) overnight stays, which represents 65 percent of the total number of overnight stays. Tourists from other countries accounted for 35 percent of overnight stays.

By type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was achieved within the Hotels and Similar Accommodation sector, with a share of 94.2 percent.
