Spring morning, Palm Sunday, at the end of April, a day that brought beautiful weather and awakened hope of the hikers that another warm gathering in Romanija was ahead of them. In recent days, members of the Hiker Association “Glasinac” have been preparing for the fifth spring hiking trip to Romanija, an event that is slowly becoming a tradition, which was held this year in accordance with the restrictions on the number of participants.
Gathering of hikers and their guests from Zvornik and Rudo, location Nadromanija, mountain lodge “Crvene stijene”. After the greeting words and the presented program of the hike by the host and guide Miroslav Divčić, the hikers set off to climb the highest peak of Romanija – Veliki Lupoglav (1652 m above sea level). The mostly snowy trail leads past the Čeremidžić hut, through a coniferous forest, to Ždrijel, from where a view opens up to the surrounding mountains, the Mokran valley and Crvene stijene, whose beauties bathe in the spring sun. Along a winding forest path, the edge of the rocks, the column moves further, towards Orlova stijena and Gavranka rock. Hikers stop at lookouts, enjoying views of the fantastic scenery. The fresh and clean air, mixed with the scent of the coniferous forest, gives new strength to continue the hike, towards the Cliff and Dobra Voda. Again, a short break, the joy of looking at the beautiful landscapes that stretch towards Mokra, Crna stijena and Jasenova. Approaching the top, the mountaineers are greeted by high snow, but that is not an obstacle to conquering the highest peak in Romanija. After successfully overcoming the last ascent, all participants are at the top. Joy immeasurable, which was followed with taking joint photographs at the top.
Guides during the hike – Miroslav Divčić and Milanko Krstajić, are happy that all participants of the hike successfully mastered the trail and that, carried by warm emotions and sweet fatigue, the went home with beautiful experience and memories.
