GAZA, March 18 – The Muslim charity “Merhamet”, in cooperation with Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, prepares daily iftars for the vulnerable population in Gaza.
Iftars are prepared in improvised kitchens of Merhamet’s partner organization IHH from Turkey.
– Iftar meals for the vulnerable population of Gaza will be prepared throughout the holy month of Ramadan. These activities in Gaza were also helped by “Merhamet” of Sweden, as part of the large family of the “Merhamet” Muslim Charity Society – said the president of the HO “Merhamet” MDD Kenan Vrbanjac.
According to him, “Merhamet” has been helping the vulnerable population of Gaza since the very beginning of Israel’s aggression.
Among other things, “Merhamet” delivered and distributed 100 tons of flour to the population of Gaza at the end of February, with a total value of 209,000 convertible marks, which was delivered to Gaza in five trucks.
According to the president of “Merhamet” Kenan Vrbanjec, the funds for the purchase of this contingent of flour were provided by “Merhamet” in cooperation with Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while one truck, i.e. 20 tons of flour, was financed by three BH. businessmen from Tešnj, Travnik and Mostar, who wished to remain anonymous.
So far, “Merhamet” has provided aid for the population of Gaza worth more than a million KM. The president of “Merhamet” Kenan Vrbanjac thanked the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, companies, educational and other institutions that showed solidarity and empathy towards people in need.
