BH Post issued a postage stamp featuring the best Bosnian swimmer and European champion Lana Pudar, under the auspices of the Mediterranean Postal Union, of which Bosnia and Herzegovina is a full member, and within this year’s theme “Euromed Postal – Sports in the Mediterranean”, reports Anadolu.
BH Post stated that with this philatelic issue they wanted to show their support for the best BH. the swimmer and give her recognition for the sports results she achieved.
The postage stamp was printed in a circulation of 10,000 copies, with a nominal value of 3.20 KM. A special FDC envelope was also issued in a circulation of 150 pieces, worth 2.00 KM. Authors of the latest postage stamp of BH Post are Tamer Lučarević, Istvan Derencseny and European Aquatics.
Swimmer Lana Pudar was born on January 19, 2006 in Mostar, where she lives. She is our country’s record holder in all six dolphin disciplines, and she is also the record holder of the Mediterranean Games in the 100-meter dolphin discipline for women.
She achieved many victories, and on this occasion we single out her success at the European Junior Championships in 2023, where she won gold in all three disciplines in the dolphin style. In each of the disciplines, she set a new record of the European junior championships.
She won gold medals in the 100 and 200 meters, followed by a silver medal in the 50 meters at the 2023 World Junior Championships. In Barcelona, Lana Pudar won the 200-meter dolphin and thus fulfilled the norm for the upcoming Olympic Games in 2024 in Paris.
