Yesterday, representatives of the Institute for Youth Development KULT met with the Minister of Higher Education in the Government of Sarajevo Canton, Aleksandra Nikolić. The topic of the meeting was the cooperation between the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton and the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
The reason for the meeting was the results obtained by the team of the Institute in the process of updating the data of the Analysis of the results of research on the needs and problems of young people in Sarajevo Canton and social care and youth activism. The analysis itself was done in 2016, and in 2021. Additional research was done in the field of education, work, employment and self-employment, as well as social care and youth activism.
In a conversation with Minister Nikolić and expert associate for cooperation with the youth sector and student organizations, Jelena Šantić, further steps of cooperation were determined.
“The Institute will support the work of the Ministry so that the strategic document, but also the work of the expert associate, is directed towards the implementation of mechanisms and measures of interest to young people in the Sarajevo Canton. We expect the Ministry, headed by the Minister, to work more in the field of youth and show openness for cooperation, and we will do our best to make our capacities available,” said the Director General of the Institute for Youth Development KULT, Jasmin Bešić.
The Minister pointed out that the Ministry will be happy to continue cooperation with the Institute and act in partnership in order to create new opportunities for young people.
