The testing phase of the “Civil Patrol” application in the area of the City of Zvornik has been successfully completed, and as of today, this system is available to citizens.
This unique application allows citizens to report utilities and other problems in their environment, anytime and anywhere, via their mobile devices. The main mission is to achieve faster and more efficient communication between citizens and local authorities, with the aim of achieving the common good.
Bojan Vukovic, director of the company DVC Solutions, which developed the application, said that this system has already been implemented in Banja Luka, Brcko, Pale and as of today in Zvornik.
“Zvornik received an improved version of the system that passed the so-called childhood diseases during the application in Banja Luka. We believe that this solution will contribute to a better quality of life in Zvornik, that citizens will be actively involved and send applications, thus encouraging public service employees to react adequately. It is a great thing that the citizen sees the status of the report and the comment of the city at all times, so he_she is always up to date with what is happening with his_her report,” Vukovic pointed out.
Zvornik has joined the cities and municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina that want to improve their business and transform themselves digitally in the foreseeable future.
“By realizing such projects, the City of Zvornik shows its openness and readiness to tackle all the problems of its citizens and to solve them through joint activities. While drafting the City Strategy, we pointed out that we want to improve the lives of our citizens and apply the postulates of a smart city in Zvornik. The civilian patrol is only one step towards the realization of the set goals and the digital transformation of public administration. With this application, we are giving our citizens the tools to be able to follow our work more closely,” said Zoran Stevanovic, the mayor of Zvornik.
Bit Alliance, the umbrella organization of the software industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is one of the implementers of the “Civil Patrol” project in Zvornik.
“The project started last year and I can proudly say that we have started many things so far when it comes to the digital transformation of our cities and municipalities, at least in five municipalities that are part of our project. I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate the City of Zvornik because it is one of the units that paves the way for digital transformation to all others,” said Kristina Erak, project manager, Bit Alliance.
The application adapted to the City of Zvornik was donated by DVC Solutions through the project “Smart cities towards digital transformation of cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, which is implemented in partnership with Lanaco d.o.o., DVC Solutions d.o.o. within the development program implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ), in cooperation with the Bit Alliance.
