Christmas joy in SKB Mostar: Santa brought smiles to children in the hospital

The humanitarian action “When small hands come together” cheered up the children in the SKB Mostar. Smiles and joy despite difficult times.

Christmas is considered by many to be the most beautiful holiday of the year. It is a holiday of peace, happiness, well-being, but also of giving. Many people will spend this Christmas away from their homes, and perhaps it is the hardest for children who have to stay in the Department of Children’s Diseases Clinic of SKB Mostar and Children’s Surgery due to illness.

“This month we spoiled the children and they are delighted with such actions. It’s nice to feel the support of the local community. The children are satisfied, we are also satisfied and thank you all”, said Dr. Marija Novaković Bošnjak, head of the Clinic for Children’s Diseases, after the action.

The pensive looks of the parents and the sad faces of the children were cheered up by the visit of Santa Claus today, who distributed packages to them. Namely, the humanitarian action called “When little hands join together, everything is possible” was held again this year in the premises of the Clinic for Children’s Diseases and Children’s Surgery of SKB Mostar.

This is a traditional event that has been held for the fifth year in a row and is organized by radio presenter Antonela Vučić, Darko Smiljanić and Albert Pehar, together with colleagues Ivica Mucić from the Hercegovina.in portal, and Marija Primorac, vice president of the HKD Mala Kapela Essen.

“It is a great honor and pleasure that this has become a tradition and cooperation with SKB Mostar at the invitation of Mrs. Vučić. One small contribution, because we want to emphasize the connection of Croats outside the country. With our contribution, we strive to cheer up the children who unfortunately have to stay in the hospital”, said Marijo Primorac, Vice President of the Small Chapel Essen, with pride.

Passing through the corridors of Pediatrics, and entering from room to room, despite the illness, I felt joy.

“I am extremely grateful first of all to dear God that we manage to realize this action every year, and then to all the sponsors who generously respond to the invitation. Special thanks also to Mr. Primorac, who donates some of the medical supplies for the aforementioned departments through the association Mala Kapela from Essen. What is personally most important and dearest to me are the children’s smiles when they see Santa Claus. We should learn from children to rejoice in small things”, said the organizer of this humanitarian action, Antonela Vučić.

Santa Claus was the journalist Albert Pehar, who was greatly cheered by the children, but he expressed his wish that there would be as little work as possible next year.
