In the premises of the General Directorate of BH Post in Sarajevo, a special children’s stamp with the motif of the Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities “Koraci nade” from Tuzla was promoted. On that occasion, representatives of the Center, coordinator Jasmina Krivošija and program managers, Selma Peštalić visited their premises.
The Executive Director of the Sector for Development and Information Systems of BH Post, Nedim Matoruga, presented the representatives of the Center with a glass plaque and the first edition of the stamp with the building of the Center “Koraci nade” as a motif.
– With this nice gesture, we wanted to draw attention to the efforts and work of employees and staff of the Center “Koraci nade” from Tuzla to help children with disabilities in social integration. We also intended to support the desire and perseverance of parents and children in attending the necessary educational and rehabilitation programs for all users of the Center – said the executive director Matoruga.
The Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities “Koraci nade” Tuzla started operating in 1994 as one of the first day care centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is today one of the brightest examples of support services for children and youth with disabilities. With its work, the Center includes 185 users, up to 28 years of age, of all degrees and categories of disabilities.
BH Post traditionally provides support to centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which take care of children with disabilities, and in this way wants to set an example to others that we have a common obligation to take care of children who need help the most.
This special children’s stamp was printed in 10,000 pieces, with a nominal value of 0.90 BAM. The author of the stamp is Branka Sumenić-Bajić.
