Children from SOS Children’s Villages in BiH are enjoying the Nature School thanks to the Lactalis BH company project

As part of the year-long project of the company  Lactalis BH , aimed at supporting the empowerment of children and young people in the care of  SOS Children’s Villages  in BiH, the School in Nature was organized. Thirty-nine children and young people, aged seven to 18, from Sarajevo and Gračanica are enjoying the educational and entertainment activities organized by Lactalis at  the Sports Recreational Center Ajdinovići (SRCA) .

The Lactalis BH company over the course of a year invested in activities intended to further improve the educational and sports experience of children and youth living in SOS Children’s Villages in Sarajevo and Gračanica, and one of the project’s activities is School in Nature.

“We are happy because of the reactions of the children from SOS Children’s Villages in BiH to the opportunities that the project made possible for them and that with this activity we managed to make them happy and give them the opportunity to learn and socialize. Through our socially responsible initiatives, we at Lactalis strive to contribute to the creation of a better future in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially for children and young people. The entire project was designed to provide children and young people from Sarajevo and Gračanica with various developmental and educational activities, with a focus on sports activities such as swimming and basketball lessons, a school in nature that we are now realizing, as well as a paid internship at Lactalis that will follow. We know from experience and our business practice how important it is to invest in additional education, but also sports and recreation as key elements in the development of children and young people for their inclusion in an independent life”, said Kenan Kečo, director of Lactalis BH.

During the whole day’s stay, an educational workshop on the importance of milk was organized for children with drawing of dairy products, games without borders, horse riding and a tour of the HEART.

“For children and young people without parental care, it is extremely important to additionally develop socialization, motor skills, psychosocial skills and teamwork. In addition to quality education, in SOS Children’s Villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina we make additional efforts to provide children and young people with sports activities that will lead to the development of the mentioned segments in their growth and maturation. The support of the community and our friends, such as the Lactalis BH company, which once again, through these great activities, has shown that it truly understands the needs of children is very important to us on this journey. We are looking forward to new activities within the year-long project”, said Amra Dulić, coordinator of the expert team for family support.

After the end of the competition in games without borders, the company Lactalis BH prepared gift packages for all participants.
