The “Sparkasse Golden Circle” charity race/walk, organized by the “Heart for Children with Cancer” association and sponsored by Sparkasse Bank, will take place on September 15, 2024. at 11 a.m. in Visoko.
The goal of the event is to support the little heroes who are fighting this serious disease and to collect funds for the work of the health and medical fund of the association “Heart for Children” and their parents’ homes in Sarajevo and Tuzla.
Parents’ homes allow children to stay in a home atmosphere with their families during difficult cancer treatment, instead of in hospital rooms. There they receive accompanying psycho-social support and care, and what is very important – they are surrounded by friends who understand them, and the love of their parents and family, from which they draw strength for the life struggle they lead. It is a key part of their healing journey, and an essential upgrade to primary treatment through the health system.
Recognizing the importance of this innovative concept of parental homes and the overall activities of the “Heart for Children with Cancer” Association, Sparkasse Bank and its team decided to raise their support to a completely new level this year.
The bank, as a general sponsor, finances the organization of the “Golden Circle” humanitarian race/walk, so that the entire income from the participants’ donations can be channeled into the work of the association.
The humanitarian initiative was embraced wholeheartedly by a team of around 500 employees of Sparkasse Bank and launched a special campaign to motivate as many people as possible to participate in the walk and support the little heroes fighting cancer.

In addition to the fact that the Sparkasse team will participate in large numbers in the humanitarian walk on September 15 in Visoko, thanks to the Sparkasse employees, this year the “Golden Circle” also got its own anthem.
Employees of the bank throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina sang a specially designed song and through a video and photo campaign on their social networks they spread the voice of humanity and invite people around them to join.
“This is our way to show our ‘heart for children’ as a team, but also to invite people around us to do the same. The ‘Golden Circle’ is an opportunity to pay tribute to the courage of the little ones who are fighting their life’s battle against cancer, to give our personal contribution to make that battle a little easier for them and to unite in a loud message that they are not alone”, is the message of the Sparkasse Bank team.
How to register or support a charity walk/race for children with cancer
All generations can participate in the humanitarian event, and they can contribute by purchasing or donating a “Heart Association for Children with Cancer” t-shirt.
Support can be given in several ways:
By participating in the race (route 5900) – entry fee that includes a T-shirt in the amount of 30 KM.

Participation in the walk and/or donation for the purchase of a t-shirt in the amount of 20 KM. T-shirts represent a ticket to the race/walk, and can be found at the following locations:
